Get started today.

What Are Sober Living Homes for Women?

In sober living homes, people overcome addictions and learn how to live fulfilling, structured lives. While staying in sober living apartments, San Antonio and Dallas residents benefit from sober living services and support from qualified professionals.

Real Deal Sober Living’s facilities provide sober living for women in Dallas and San Antonio, allowing you to recover in a women-only, pet-friendly, and drug-free environment. During your time at one of our sober living facilities, you’ll be held accountable for your continued sobriety and get the support you need to live an addiction-free life.

What Are Sober Living Homes?

Even if you understand the basics of sober living homes, you’ll also want to know the differences between these homes and halfway houses before choosing one of these options. In many cases, halfway houses in Dallas are directly affiliated with treatment providers. That isn’t the case for sober living homes like Real Deal, which operate without these affiliations.

Thanks to this structure, Real Deal is able to offer more freedom to its residents than most halfway houses in San Antonio, Texas can. At our homes, you’ll be able to come and go whenever you like (though you’ll need to stay sober and follow our house rules). That makes it easier for sober living home residents to re-enter society after staying in one of these facilities.

Benefits of Women-Only Sober Halfway Houses

While living in our transitional housing for women, San Antonio and Dallas residents appreciate our focus on:

  • Sisterhood. When you choose Real Deal for sober living for women in San Antonio and Dallas, you’ll have a chance to form relationships with other women facing addictions like yours.
  • Shared accountability. At our sober living apartments, Dallas and San Antonio-area women work together and motivate each other to lead addiction-free lives.
  • Gender-specific safety and comfort. Real Deal’s women-only homes are built with your specific needs in mind.

Who Is a Good Fit for Our Sober Living Program?

At Real Deal, we believe in working with women who are:

  • In the early stages of their recovery (and are ready to continue). Motivation is the key to success in sober living. If you have the drive you need to face your addiction head-on, we’re ready to help.
  • Willing to take accountability. Accountability is also crucial for people in Real Deal’s facilities. People who are responsible for their lives and outcomes will thrive in our sober living homes.
  • Just out of rehab. Going straight back to independent living after leaving rehab could cause unexpected problems. Instead, you’re likely to get better results by continuing your recovery in a sober living home at this point.

What to Expect: Structure, House Rules, and Accountability

Real Deal residents are required to live structured lives while staying in our sober living homes. While participating in transitional living, San Antonio and Dallas residents must attend meetings, follow curfews, and complete chores. Along with that, you’ll need to follow our house rules regarding program fees, terms of stay, and more.

The women living at Real Deal’s sober living homes are also held accountable for their continued sobriety. Our facilities have zero-tolerance policies for drug and alcohol use, and we use random drug testing to ensure our residents stay sober.

In contrast to other sober living homes in Dallas and San Antonio, Real Deal’s rules don’t prohibit pets. Instead, we’re proud to offer truly pet-friendly transitional housing, allowing you to focus on recovery without worrying about how your pets are doing.

Support, Community, and Recovery Resources

Unfortunately, beating addiction and returning to sober life isn’t easy. However, Real Deal residents don’t have to go through this process on their own. Instead, the women living at our sober living homes get meaningful support through services like therapy (offered at our outpatient center), employment support, and life skill development.

Real Deal also gives the people at our facilities a chance to live in a truly recovery-centric environment. During your stay, you can connect with our caring team members and other women dealing with addiction. On top of that, you’ll have an opportunity to form additional relationships through peer/group mentorship and sponsored meetings.

Even after you’re ready to move on from Real Deal, you won’t be alone. Instead, you can get continued support through our outpatient center. This center gives former Real Deal residents a chance to continue their therapy, access educational resources, and take part in support groups.
