The disease of addiction is so powerful that people struggling will continue to use knowing it will result in problems. This is the dilemma for us addicts and alcohol.
Substance use disorder is the most well known form of addiction. However, there are many different types of addictions. Each addiction has unique challenges and obstacles to overcome. Accordingly, each addiction is a type of phenomenon that illicit major cravings and the inability to control the use (regardless of negative consequences related to the addiction). Most people can easily spot the signs of addiction. Still, addiction is an elusive disease, and brutal honesty is required to admit that you have a problem.

Substance use disorder is obviously related to the abuse of drugs and alcohol (as we discussed above).

Sex addiction is a difficult thing to gauge. Because sex is a normal and healthy human act, it is hard to say what is and what isn’t addictive.

Video games are an addictive past time. If you spend countless hours playing video games, missing important life activities, it might be time to look at change. Conversely, internet addiction is also becoming a problematic issue for people.

Porn addiction is time consuming, upsetting, and misleading. Because of the prevalence porn has in our society, it’s hard to understand whether or not watching it is bad or unhealthy.
