WHAT IS THE COST OF LIVING ALONE IN DALLAS?
Not only is living alone more expensive, but it does not provide the most important aspect of sober living at Real Deal, the accountability. Living alone does not offer live-in managers whose sole focus is to manage chores, meetings, and residents. Nor does living alone have the element of community action- people who operate as a unit towards a common goal.

THE BENEFITS OF CHOOSING OUR DALLAS SOBER LIVING HOME
Sober living is the stepping stone between getting sober and starting life in the real world. At Real Deal, we believe recovery is a lot more than just abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Especially in the great city of Dallas. With many things to do, jobs to secure, and people to meet, Dallas is the best place to start your journey.
If we stopped using drugs and alcohol but had nothing else to live for, we would be miserable. Furthermore, this is not the way to find happiness in recovery. Recovery is a journey we take with the help of others, and happiness comes from the journey itself. For this reason, we compiled the major benefits of sober living and why its so crucial to recovery.

What It Means to Be a Recovery House
Real Deal Sober Living focuses on more than just living in abstinence. Our homes are designed to be recovery-minded communities where all of our residents work together to build better and healthier lives in recovery.
It starts with our daily schedule. We like to keep the schedule simple so we can accommodate people in outpatient treatment, those with busy lives, and folks with nothing but time. Each morning, our residents meet for a daily meditation meeting where they set their intentions for the day and start out with a recovery mindset.
Once a week, we hold an accountability meeting. This keeps the lines of communication open to facilitate peaceful cohabitation, resolve any resentments between house members, and hold people accountable for their actions or inaction.
We encourage all our residents to attend outside support meetings in addition to the daily meditation and weekly accountability meetings at the house itself. Don’t have a firm grasp of the recovery community in Dallas? Don’t worry — our recovery house managers and residents can help you find a community that works for you.
Regular drug screenings and breathalyzers ensure that our sober living homes always stay true to their purpose. Nobody in recovery should be forced to deal with inebriated housemates, and we go to great measures to ensure that everyone feels safe and supported in our homes.
Above all, we value the progress and growth that comes along with recovery. Whatever helps you stay sober, grow in your personal life, and flourish in your recovery is supported at Real Deal Sober Living.
Pet-Friendly Sober Living
Real Deal Sober Living is one of the few sober living homes in Dallas that offers a pet-friendly environment. We understand that pet owners who are striving toward recovery need a solution that can accommodate both their needs and their pets. Rehousing a pet can be devastating, and it shouldn’t have to be a consequence of past substance use.
Pet ownership can be a valuable part of anyone’s recovery. Not only do they provide unconditional love and support, but they can also help people develop several skills that can work in their favor during recovery.

Pets require a certain level of responsibility, commitment, and patience. Any one of these skills has a clear carryover to a recovery lifestyle, which requires people to learn to take things in stride and manage new responsibilities and obligations.
Our sober living houses have no specific pet restrictions. Each pet is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The only requirements are that they are over six months old, have been spayed or neutered, have no history of aggression, and have been appropriately house-trained.
Pets don’t even require extra rent. Just place a $500 pet security deposit when you first move in.
If you’re looking for pet-friendly sober living in Dallas, Real Deal Sober Living just might be the place for you. Pet ownership shouldn’t have to be a barrier to finding housing solutions that foster your own recovery. And for those with allergies, we offer pet-free sober living homes as well to ensure everyone finds the right home for their needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Dallas is Classic home, which is $900 per month.
Of course! We accept pets at our sober living homes.
Technically, there is no difference. People, such as ourselves, use the terms interchangeably. However, the general consensus in the treatment industry is that halfway houses are typically lower accountability and state-funded. Regardless, we are honored to be called both a halfway house and a sober living company.
100% yes. We believe in reality and our recovery rates show that its the most successful approach.
If a job is not obtained in a week or so, we will help. However, it’s usually not an issue for our motivated residents.
Sober living is a type of transitional addiction treatment. It bridges the gap between inpatient drug and alcohol rehab and returning to life in the real world. Residents live in a community with others who are at a similar stage of recovery. Furthermore, they support and hold each other accountable and are watched over by a manager. Typically, residents work, attend school, or participate in an outpatient addiction treatment program while in sober living. If you want more information about services we offer, click here.
In today’s world, the dangers of drug addiction are well known. All you need to do is turn on the news and you’ll hear about overdoses, arrests, and the opioid epidemic. Without a doubt, it’s safe to say drug addiction is a serious problem in our society. That’s where drug rehab services come in. Drug rehab is inpatient treatment for addiction. Patients check in to a facility for a period of time—typically one month, three months, or sometimes longer—and receive intensive treatment. Additionally, they live with other people new to recovery and receive the tools they need to live drug-free lives. For one thing, those who attend drug rehab have a much better chance of staying sober than those who attempt recovery on their own. Thus, rehab should be a top priority for anyone struggling with drug addiction.
Alcoholism is more than just someone who drinks too much. Alcoholism is a disease that makes a person unable to stop drinking and lose control when they drink. And like any disease, it’s a lot easier to recover from with professional help—and alcohol rehab is the ultimate form of professional help. It involves intensive inpatient treatment that usually lasts for one or more months. Typically, alcohol rehab services include programs like one-on-one counseling, group recovery workshops, and an introduction to community support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous. Few people have ever been able to stop drinking on their own, which is why rehab is the perfect choice to treat alcoholism.
Unfortunately insurance is not accepted for sober living. However, there are many treatment options that do accept insurance. Our sister company, Real Deal Therapy & Wellness, is an outpatient center that is coupled well with sober living.
Of course! We love pets and will always allow pets to join our family. Read our page about pets!
